After a long, long quest, we have finally found an accommodation that, in our opinion, will be able to resist 100-120 European LA students and their physical and mental needs.

We will stay in an accommodation for groups called 'Paasheuvel' (Easter Hill) in Vierhouten, about 40 km northeast of the city of Utrecht. Unfortunately the village of Vierhouten doesn't contain luxuous old castles, like the village of Valtice. But there are some advantages, too:

Vierhouten is above sea level, so you don't have to be afraid of waking up being a victim of a flodd; neither do you need to bring a pair of goggles or a rowing boat;
any excursion point can be reached spending less than three hours in the bus (remember excursions to South Bohemia and the Jezeri brown coal mine, which were, nevertheless, great).

What to do before the meeting?

Remember what we wrote in the first info bulletin about the exhibition: take some (colour) slides of 'POST-COW LANDSCAPES' (spots/ areas) in your country and include those with a small accompanying text (1 or 2 sentences) and your application form. So contact the ELASA-'members' in your country, pick some post-cow areas/ spots and shoot some astonishing slides!
Don't forget the second part of the exhibition either: please bring along some students' work which is an example of the tradition in landscape architecture in your country.
Application forms will be sent to the reps of each country in about 4 weeks. So if you want to take part in the ELASA conference 1997 in the Netherlands, contact the reps in your country.
